PANTHERS CONFIRM JOUFFRET DEPARTURE

Halifax Panthers can confirm that Louis Jouffret has departed the club following the conclusion of the 2025 Betfred Championship season.

The 30 year old half back spent 4 seasons at The Shay after making the move from Whitehaven back in 2022, going on to make 111 appearances for Halifax. The former France International half back scored 623 points for the Panthers, including 41 tries and 229 goals, but will leave West Yorkshire to take up a playing opportunity elsewhere.

A popular figure on the terraces, Jouffret won the Ray French Award at Wembley as man of the match as Fax won the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup in 2023.

Speaking after the announcement, Jouffret confirmed he will always look back fondly on his time in blue and white.

“I’ve had an amazing 4 years at the Panthers. I’ve had some fun on and off the pitch with the boys and found some mates for life. A massive thank you to the fan, who backed me from Day one, I cannot be thankful enough. You really helped us every game home or away.”

“Obviously all good things must come to an end one day. But I’ll cherish every moment spend here and all them memories are going to last forever. Thanks again with all my heart.”
