CAPTAIN CROOKS ON THE BOOKS FOR 2026

Halifax Panthers are delighted to announce that Ben Crooks has signed a new one year contract extension with the club, keeping him at The Shay until the end of the 2026 Betfred Championship season. The Panthers skipper has committed for another year in blue and white, taking his Fax career into a 4th season.

32 year old Crooks is a seasoned veteran that brings so much to the squad. With 261 senior appearances under his belt during a stellar career in Rugby League, the centre has the experience at the highest level to lead the blue and white army from the front. Crooks has made 43 first team appearances for the Panthers since joining from Keighley Cougars back in 2023, and is excited at the prospect of pulling on the famous shirt again in 2026.

“I’m over the moon to have a signed an extension to keep me at the club”, said Crooks. “After the year we had in 25, it’s an exciting time to be at Halifax and I’m looking forward to building on the progress we made last year.”
