Halifax Panthers are delighted to announce young Prop Will Calcott has signed a new deal with the club keeping him at the Shay Stadium until at least the end of the 2022 season.

The 23 year old homegrown product enters into his 5th season with his hometown club in 2021. 

A number of impressive performances at the start of the 2020 campaign aswell as impressing the coaching team in training and pre-season has learnt the Panthers youngster a new two-year deal.

Simon Grix and the Panthers faithful will be delighted at the news the rising star stays for at least two more seasons.

Calcott made his first team debut in 2017 against Leigh Centurions during the Super 8s, having progressed through the Fax Academy Pathway.

A Young forward with presence in the middle and good hands in the tackle, Calcott will look to continue his upward trajectory at The Shay following a steady progression through the ranks.

Simon Grix was delighted to tie the young star down and believes the only way is up for Calcott,

Will Calcott on the contract extension,

“I’m really pleased to be extending for another year. I’m developing and learning all the time from the coaching staff here and a lot of the senior players so it was a no brainier for me to extend my contract.”
