Sarah Morgan: Acting Operations Director
I was born in Halifax and have lived most of my life here, with the exception of 13 years of school in Blackpool.
I qualified in Management Accountancy whilst working for Hargreaves Stockbrokers. I initially was volunteered by my Father to help out one day a week for Halifax RLFC to help computerise the accounts as the Club was moving down to The Shay. 23 years later and I still haven’t escaped!
I have held a variety of jobs within the Club from commercial assistant, PA to the CEO, personnel management and football secretary before becoming the General Manager. My role at the Club is extremely varied and I mainly deal with RFL and football matters, stadium operations and matchday planning. One of my most challenging roles recently has been around the endless Covid protocols that need complying with in order for the team to keep training and playing rugby.
My family and I have been long term supporters of the Club and I first attended as a young baby. Weekends were always spent travelling from Blackpool to watch Halifax play home or away. Out of work my time is spent taking my sons to rugby and football training and games so sport really is my life!
