TAG RUGBY AND MINDFULNESS COMES TO THE SHAY STADIUM

TAG RUGBY AND MINDFULNESS COMES TO THE SHAY STADIUM

We are delighted to announce that our new Community project Tag Talks is now open for registration. Tag Talks is a brand new initiative from the Panthers in partnership with Invictus Wellbeing. Working together we have developed a pilot project which brings together tag rugby, fitness and men’s wellbeing. Fun, fast, flowing Tag Rugby will be lead the Halifax Panthers whilst Invictus Wellbeing will professionally lead on warm up and cool down interventions that will help with reflection, presence of mind and many other areas of mental health and wellbeing.

In partnership we will run x8 session every Monday evening from 5:00pm – 6:00pm at the Shay Stadium. These sessions will combine peer lead mental health interventions on specific weekly topics with the confidence, self-esteem and community building experience of Tag Rugby that will create an environment of togetherness between participants.

Jack Duffy, Community Engagement Officer – “It feels great to get this program in motion and we are really looking forward to welcoming participants to the beloved Shay Stadium! I would like to encourage those that have never or do not usually play rugby to come down and give this a try! It’s incredibly important to the club that we are involved for all in our community and this is just one of many programs in which we are looking to achieve this.”

Danny Hutchinson, Invictus Wellbeing C.E.O – “Invictus Wellbeing are delighted to be working alongside the Halifax Panthers in another innovative, community-based project. We know how important sport, fitness and community connection can be for positive mental health and wellbeing and we can’t wait to offer this opportunity to the people of Calderdale.”
