SHAY SUITE NAMED IN HALL OF FAMER’S HONOUR

NEW JOHNNY FREEMAN SUITE AT THE SHAY

Halifax Panthers are delighted to announce that the viewing lounge in the East Stand will from the 2022 season onwards become known as The JOHNNY FREEMAN SUITE in memory and appreciation of one of the all-time greats of the club. We have spoken with both Johnny’s family and the ex- players association and they are both delighted by this decision, so much so that the ex -players association are going to sponsor the suite in 2022.

Panthers Commercial Director Steve Lambert said, “As a club, we are constantly looking forward to see how we need to improve. However, we must always be aware of and remember our past. This new facility gives us the opportunity to celebrate a past great of the club, Johnny Freeman, an Icon of Halifax RLFC and the sport. The facility will be used mainly on match days as an alternative to the slightly more formal match day experience on offer in The Investing for Tomorrow Banqueting Suite and will be available for private groups celebrating birthdays, anniversaries etc, or by businesses wanting to entertain customers or staff. We can provide private bar, hot or cold menu, east stand seats, great view from inside the suite and much more. When we don’t have a specific function on, we will open it to individuals and smaller groups who can enjoy all of the above prior to the game. We can cater for up to 80 people with the minimum for private events being 40, what a great way to watch THE PANTHERS in 2022.”
