Halifax Panthers can confirm that our Betfred Championship Round 13 game with Whitehaven RLFC will take place at Wakefield Trinity’s DIY Kitchens Stadium on Sunday 30th June 1pm kick off. The fixture, which was originally scheduled to take place at The Shay Stadium, has now changed venue to allow vital works to take place on the playing surface at our home ground.

The scheduled 1pm kick off will allow supporters to watch the potential last 16 Euro 2024 tie at 5pm on the day should the England National Team finish top of Group C.

CEO Damian Clayton commented: “We’ll be facing Whitehaven at the newly developed Belle View Stadium in Wakefield. This temporary move is due to essential pitch renovations at the Shay, ensuring our home ground remains in top condition for the crucial stages of the Championship season. Wakefield’s top-notch facilities are ready to welcome us, offering a unique opportunity to celebrate our club’s spirit. We’re calling on all our fans to transform Belle View into a sea of blue and white, creating an electric atmosphere that our players will thrive in.”

“To make the day more fan-friendly, we’ve engaged with Whitehaven and moved the kick-off to 13:00. This way, you can support the Panthers and still get back to Halifax in plenty of time to cheer on England in the Euros. It’s a win-win! We’ve put together some attractive packages to ensure your day is a great experience. Your support, wherever we play, drives our team’s performance. Let’s take over Wakefield and show what the Halifax Panthers are all about!”

“This is more than just a game – it’s a celebration of our incredible community and our shared passion. So, mark your calendars, don your blue and white, and join us for a fantastic day in Wakefield. Thank you for your unwavering support. Up the Panthers!”
