Halifax Panthers can confirm that Jake Maizen has joined Betfred League one side Hunslet RLFC on an initial two week loan deal.

The 26 year old Italian international joined the Panthers during the off season from Queensland Cup outfit Sunny Coast Falcons.

Maizen has 13 appearances so far for Fax scoring 6 tries, but has found himself out of the starting line up recently following the signing of Ben Crooks from Keighley Cougars and the form of Ben Tibbs.

Panthers head coach Simon Grix commented on the loan move: “Jake is gonna head over to Hunslet to get a couple of games under his belt. His form has been up and down and after a few weeks out of the team, we need to get him ready and back confident for a strong run in.”

He will link up with Alan Kilshaws men and go straight into contention for their League game with Doncaster this weekend.
