INTRODUCING… PADDY AND PIPPA PANTHER

Halifax Panthers through our Community Panthers CIC have been running a competition with primary schools across the district to name our two mascots. Over 15 schools took part overall, with over 2500 children entering their suggestions to give our mascots their new monikers

There was some great suggestions with fantastic backstories but two entries clearly stood out. And we can finally reveal our winners

Congratulations to Elsie Mackie of Luddendenfoot Academy who suggested the name of Paddy and to Noa Jack of Shelf Junior and Infant School who gave Paddy’s sister the name Pippa

The winners and their entire classes were invited to attend our Easter Monday game with Bradford, and will also receive a future special VIP tour of The Shay Stadium

Thank you to all the children that entered our competition. Up The Panthers!
