GRIX PRAISES DEFENSIVE EFFORT AFTER RAMS SHUT OUT

SIMON GRIX HAILS DEFENSIVE EFFORT AFTER ROUND 5 WIN

Panthers head coach Simon Grix was delighted with the teams defensive efforts at the Tetley’s Stadium on Sunday as the Panthers managed to shut out the Rams and leave the home side scoreless after 80 mins,

“We were able to hang on to the ball this week which was really pleasing and played with energy which is hard to do when turning the ball over as often as we have of late.”

“That energy affords you better decision making when in possession and obviously makes a big difference to defence.”

“The talk was great throughout the game and a couple of times we found the energy to go a bit harder and force them in to touch or back in there in goal area, positive signs for us.”

Next up for the Panthers we welcome Sheffield Eagles to The Shay Stadium this Sunday for round 6 of the Betfred Championship with a 12.45 kick off.
