FORSTER JOINS HORNETS ON LOAN

Halifax Panthers can confirm that Ben Forster has joined League One side Rochdale Hornets on an initial 2 week loan deal.

The young forward, who joined the Panthers from the Hornets ahead of the 2023 season, is yet to make his first team debut for the club, and recently went on loan to Championship outfit Swinton Lions. But having failed to make an appearance for Allan Coleman’s side, he will now head to the Crown Oil Arena to get some much needed game time.

“Foz has been very patient on game time and we hoped Swinton would get him game time at Championship level”, said Panthers head coach Simon Grix.
“However, with no guarantees of game time there, we have made the decision to loan Foz back to Rochdale where he will go straight in. His attitude since joining us has been first class but like all players he wants to play and needs to, to ensure he is up to speed when we need him.”

The 21 year old back rower will go straight into contention for the Hornets Good Friday Derby trip to Oldham RLFC.
