RFL STATEMENT | Crowd Behaviour and Unacceptable Language

Dear fans

Following a game-wide communication from our friends at the RFL, We encourage all fans, players, staff and associates to  play our part to ensure all forms of discrimination are removed from the game.

Increasing inclusion and diversity whilst tackling all forms of discrimination, including racism, is key to the growth and success of Rugby League. The TACKLE IT action plan is sport-wide and sets out specific measures which the sport is taking together to deliver real change.

Halifax Panthers are playing our part in delivering the TACKLE IT commitments to make a positive, lasting difference. We are doing so because Black Lives Matter and Rugby League stands in solidarity with players, coaches, match officials, fans, volunteers, staff, and supporters in the struggle against racism and discrimination in sport and in society.

We shall continue to commence our matches with the following announcement

“Both teams will now line up for 13 seconds to show their opposition to racism and discrimination in society and in Rugby League.”

Thank you for all your support
