CASHFAX APPOINT NEW DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

After the inevitable hit to income caused by the pandemic, the Club has taken steps to strengthen one of its oldest and most consistent sources of income, with the appointment of Chris Murgatroyd as Lottery Development Manager. Formerly the ‘Fax Flyer’, the Club Lottery has been raising funds for almost 30 years and over that period has raised well over a million pounds, with hundreds of thousands going to the Club, in prizes to local winners, and to good causes locally through ‘Calderdale Cares’ grants.
Former Commercial Director Chris Murgatroyd links up with the Club once more following a long period of involvement in both employed and voluntary positions.

“It’s vital the Club builds on every source of income possible if Simon Grix is to be given the money needed to build the side we all want to see” said Murgatroyd, “and Cashfax has always been a dependable source for the board to budget with.”
“The effects of people being furloughed and having to budget more carefully has caused a fall in membership recently, and I am looking to do everything I can to build that level back up.”

One of the new initiatives Chris will be overseeing is a brand new ‘Platinum Membership’ scheme aimed at the corporate market.

“Cashfax has always been a local lottery for the local community” said Lottery Manager Richard Watmough.
“As a member of the National Youth and Community Development Association and through our Calderdale Cares scheme which offers donations and grants to local good causes, people can rest assured that their membership does much more than raise funds for Halifax RLFC, and we are hoping that business people throughout Calderdale can buy into this even in these difficult times”

Further information on Cashfax and the Platinum Membership scheme can be obtained by emailing chris@cashfax.co.uk or calling him on 07717 847272.
