BRANDON MOORE | SIGNS TWO-YEAR CONTRACT

BRANDON MOORE COMMITS TO PANTHERS UNTIL THE END OF 2022

Halifax Panthers are delighted to announce Brandon Moore has put pen to paper on a new contact that will see the player remain at The Shay Stadium for at least two more years until the end of 2022.

The Panthers fought off interest form a number of Super League clubs to keep Brandon in the Blue & White for 2021 & 2022 and what will be seen as a real statement of intent from both player & club as the Panthers look to make their mark in the Betfred Championship.

The cumbrian born hooker (24) will enter into his sixth season as a Halifax player in 2021 after originally joining the Halifax reserve side after leaving Castleford Tigers in 2015.

After breaking into the first team in 2016 under Richard Marshall, Moore has gone on to be one of the most consistent performers for the Panthers and that has been recognised with the player picking up a host of personal accolades including, Star Man award, Player of the year award, young player of the year award, Stan hardy award, Players Player of the year and the Supporters player of the year award.

Moore’s no nonsense approach and energy levels have made him a crowd favourite and his efforts had drawn attention from a number of Super League sides over the seasons including our dual reg partners Huddersfield Giants who loaned Brandon from the Panthers for the closing stages of the Betfred Super League 2020 campaign where once again Brandon was a stand out performer earning praise from fans and pundits throughout the game.

His Super League experience will benefit both player and the Panthers over the coming seasons and Head Coach Simon Grix was delighted to keep hold Moore,

“This is very positive news and we are really happy Brandon, after receiving interest from Super League clubs, has decided to further commit to the club.”

“From a rugby perspective I feel he has benefited greatly from his loan spell with the Giants, returning with confidence and no doubt some satisfaction after scratching some eye-catching performances.”

“Brandon, has been a stand out in recent years but still has improvements to make and the extension affords us time for that to happen here with the Panthers.”

Panthers Football Director Ian Croad on the news Brandon remains a Blue,

“Really pleased Brandon has extended his contract, we have a new look pack with size and skill, I’m looking forward to seeing him use his talent to lead them around the field.”

Brandon Moore spoke to PanthersTV fresh from signing a new deal with the club,

“Really happy with re-signing and sorting a new deal out which will take me to the end of the 2022 season.”

“Coming into my 6th season with the club it gives me some a real sense of security and I can fully focus on the year ahead. I am really excited about the current team we have building here at the moment.”

“The recruitment coming into this year adding to the quality we already have within the team gives us some real confidence going into the new season”

Brandon is proudly sponsored by SPIRAL SEVEN CLOTHING in 2021.
