A Message from the Board

The Board of Directors at Halifax Panthers wish all of our supporters, sponsors, players and coaches, staff and volunteers a very Happy New Year for 2022. Additionally, we wish to say a BIG THANK YOU for the support you have demonstrated in the run up to the new season, it has been tremendous and I have highlighted some examples below.

THANK YOU to all of you who have purchased Season Tickets for this season, we have almost exceeded the number of sales for the whole of last season. You will also soon be benefitting from a growing list of benefits available to you from businesses throughout Calderdale, negotiated on your behalf by the commercial and media teams. If you haven’t got yours yet the office will be open again from the 4th January, it promises to be a great season, help the club, buy your season ticket in time for the London game on Sunday February 6th 3pm KO

THANK YOU to our ever- growing list of Sponsors who have again supported the club, whether you are on the shirt, buying a ground board or sponsoring a player your contributions and commitment have helped us reach new levels. Don’t worry though we have lots of packages available still, particularly around match day sponsorships and hospitality.

THANK YOU to our Head Coach Simon Grix, his coaching team and of course the players for the way the recruitment and integration into the squad of 11 new players has been handled. The pre-season work by all has been professional, committed and importantly safe, resulting in a skilful, exciting and bonded squad. 2022 will be tough for everyone in The Championship, your Panthers will be ready for the trip to Batley on the 30th of January. In the mean -time following the Bulls cancellation why not get down to the Shay on Sunday 16th January for the Scott Grix Testimonial game against Wakefield 3pm KO or visit Salford on Friday 21st January, a great chance to see the new squad before the fireworks begin.

THANK YOU from our Retail Director, Gary Bray, our supporters have again surpassed themselves with their purchases of merchandise both on line and directly from the shop. Despite ordering 70% of the whole of last years sales for Christmas Gary has been “wiped out” of stock, more records broken. Don’t worry, new stock is on its way for January together with our eagerly anticipated Away shirt and merchandise.

THANK YOU to our new Media Team, all committed to the cause and producing timely, relevant, informative and exciting posts across all of our platforms. Our player- reveal films have set us apart from not only our Championship rivals but also from some Super League clubs with very positive comments coming from the press, RL journalists, The RFL and from many other clubs. We receive our RFL funding based on our performance in key areas such as finance, attendances and Media exposure, our new team is focussed on moving us to the top of the Media Table, being great communicators and importantly securing the maximum financial return for the club.

I hope you can see why we wanted to say THANK YOU. There is so much happening at the club with Calderdale College and the Academy, the Ladies Team, Schools, a new Community Development approach, Funding Initiatives, the launch of The Johnny Freeman Suite and much more. Once again from The Board, have a wonderful and safe 2022.
