Over the years the club have run a number of schemes to generate funds in support of the playing squad, the last version being Pf2. The Board have decided to overhaul the package and launch PANTHERS SQUADBUILDER with immediate effect, with 3 entry levels, all of which are accompanied by a range of value added benefits in appreciation of your support. Commenting on the launch of Panthers Squad Builder, Commercial Director Steve Lambert said, “This gives our loyal supporters the opportunity to provide a direct link between themselves and our on field recruitment with ALL of the contributions being used to strengthen our playing squad both in numbers and quality. 2023 is certain to be the most competitive season for many years with clubs investing more than ever before, we aim to be competing with the best, not only this year but into what the Board hopes is an exciting and successful future. We have targeted 150 new members by September for obvious reasons and then another 150 by mid 2024. Your support will have a direct impact on our player recruitment, CAN YOU HELP THE PANTHERS.”
Head coach Simon Grix commented: “It’s obviously really helpful. It is that element of building a squad, it’s really difficult. The money in the game is going down and every club has got to look at different revenue streams for their business, which everyone needs to improve in. The fans and those that come to games is massive for us but if any of them can spare that little bit of money that goes towards improving the squad and feeling a bit of satisfaction through the ownership of that, I think it’s a good thing. Other clubs have it, even more successful one than us and bigger clubs than us have got it as well so we’re not on our own. And yeah, if we can get it off the ground and bring some money in, hopefully that brings an extra couple of players and a couple of faces that can certainly freshen us up in the future.”
